Bird flu, forest fires, hurricanes, floods, and terrorist attacks are real and imminent threats.  Many of these events affect Arizona's cities and towns recurrently. Saying "it can't happen here" and failing to prepare is not an option. Our elected officials must be properly trained in order to provide strong leadership and guidance during times of crisis to ensure our citizen's safety.

CRA's John Wisner led a session of over 250 attendees at the League of Arizona Cities and Towns Annual Conference on the role of elected officials during an emergency situation. This discussion-based session provided our elected officials with an opportunity to explore their roles during an emergency, helping them understand how to work more effectively with their communities
