WHAT WE DO- PREVENTION & DETERRENCE

INTELLIGENCE FUSION PROCESS

Fusion Center Implementation and Improvement Services

Fusion ProcessSince 2004, CRA has assisted the Homeland Security Advisory Council and the Department of Justice, Global Justice Information Sharing Initiative Working Group in finalizing their joint “Fusion Center Guidelines, 2005.”  CRA also assists States and major urban areas in designing and developing fusion centers based on the “best practices” it has found in successful centers.   Whether creating a multiagency information fusion center or establishing a fusion process within an agency, CRA is uniquely capable of guiding the process and providing assistance.

In April 2005, on behalf of DHS, CRA hosted a meeting of the Intelligence and Information Sharing Working Group of the HSAC that produced the law enforcement Fusion Process that is  now accepted as the standard for creating fusion centers nationwide. State and local jurisdiction representatives, eminent in this field, hammered out this concept and implementing procedures.

DHS commissioned CRA to develop a Fusion Process Technical Assistance Module under the Homeland Security Preparedness Technical Assistance Program (HSPTAP). Starting in June 2005, CRA began conducting roll-out Fusion Process workshops across the country to provide orientation and guidance on the Fusion Process that will be the core model of existing and future fusion centers.

Our participation and support to these recent prevention and deterrence efforts affords us an intimate knowledge of the subject matter. It also uniquely positions CRA to help our clients apply these concepts in a no-nonsense result-oriented fashion, which better secures their communities from crime and terrorism and ensures the greatest level of compliance with Federal guidelines.
