CRA has been awarded a contract to deliver Active Shooter Workshops for the New Jersey Office of Homeland Security & Preparedness. The Workshops are designed to provide the public and private sectors with information and tools needed to develop Active Shooter Plans. The Workshops explore active shootings in the workplace as well as incidents potentially occurring during our daily routines in our home communities. Since many shootings are the result of employee violence, the Workshops examine indicators and how employees and management can work together to prevent workplace incidents from escalating. The Workshops provide data of active shootings in the United States, and specific steps recommended by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to prevent, recognize and react to an Active Shooter based on the DHS Training Course, “Active Shooter: WHAT YOU CAN DO.”
